Act 3: Vokovi vs. Korirava

Vokovi is ashamed for the evil he has done to the party. He sees now that humankind are sentient, and in some ways even superior to Vu-Yunu chromatic. This makes the eating of dreams pure evil - on a level with cannibalism. He must do penance - he must help the humans, but more importantly, he must find a way to save his people from their deeply evil lifestyle. He is overwhelmed with deep regret and at a loss for how to proceed.

Korirava was at the same point when he and Sasu were captured, she was murdered and he was blinded and left for dead. But, the loss of his love left him without a steady force as he tried to come to grips with the awful truth. Without guidance, his quest for a righteous solution slowly became perverted into a personal quest for revenge - though no one around him can see it clearly, until Vokovi arrives with the party. His fresh and rapid psychic wounding and moral conversion stands in stark contrast to Korirava's seething pain. Both of them sense this and they can't stand to be around each other, even though they on the surface seem to be on the same 'side' of the conflict.

The Chromatic Musical

OK. It's really clear that Muse's Uprising album's themes closely follow Act 3. In the musical version of this story, this track “Unnatural Selection” again represents Korirava yelling at Vukovi about “The Truth”

Muse - Unnatural Selection

🎵 Muse - Unnatural Selection

k:They'll laugh as they watch us fall
The lucky don't care at all
No chance for fate
It's unnatural selection
I want the truth

I'm hungry for some unrest
I want to push this beyond a peaceful protest
I wanna speak in a language that they'll understand

Dedication to a new age
Is this the end of destruction and rampage?
Another chance to erase then repeat it again

v:Counter balance this commotion
We're not droplets in the ocean
Ocean

k:They'll laugh as they watch us fall
The lucky don't care at all
No (Hey) chance (Hey) for fate (Hey)
It's unnatural selection
I want the truth

No religion or mind virus
Is there a hope that the facts will ever find us
Just make sure that your are looking out for number 1

I'm hungry for some unrest
Lets push this beyond a peaceful protest
I wanna speak in a language that you will understand

v:Counter balance this commotion
We're not droplets in the ocean
Ocean

k:They'll laugh as they watch us crawl
The lucky don't share at all
No (Hey) hope (Hey) for fate (Hey)
It's a random chance selection
I want the truth

Try to ride out the storm
Whilst they'll make you believe
They are the special ones (We have not been chosen)

Injustice is the norm
You won't be the first
And you know you won't be the last

v:Counter balance this commotion
We're not droplets in the ocean
Ocean, ocean, v,k:ocean

k:They'll laugh as they watch us fall
And the lucky they don't care at all
No (Hey) chance (Hey) for fate (Hey)
It's unnatural selection
I want the truth, I want the truth
I want the truth, I want the truth
